October Pizza Club
In October we had our pizza club at lunch time, and Lisa and Eugen were the first ones to test this new time slot.
Lisa presented a paper presenting organoids that resemble the midbrain and in particular contain dopaminergic neurons:

Eugen then briefly outlined the idea of comparing microbial communities to multicellular organisms, in terms of community function, differentiation, exchange of molecules. This is particularly interesting for extending modeling approaches now used for microorganisms to multicellular organisms too.
