RSG Luxembourg is back: and we have plans

After being inactive for some time, ISCB RSG Luxembourg is relaunching with renewed energy and a clear mission: to be the glue that connects Luxembourg’s growing bioinformatics community.

We know the community is here. The researchers, the PhD candidates, the students working at the intersection of biology and computation. You exist, you’re working hard, and you deserve a space to connect, share, and grow together. That’s exactly what RSG Luxembourg wants to be.

What’s coming in 2026

Here’s what we have in store for the rest of the year:

Bioinformatics Series: A programme of seminars and workshops covering practical and cutting-edge topics in bioinformatics. Whether you’re just getting started or already deep in your research, there’ll be something for you.

Industry & Academia Series: We’re bridging the gap between research and industry in Luxembourg. Expect talks, panel discussions, and networking opportunities with professionals from both worlds.

Workshops: Hands-on sessions designed to build practical skills in bioinformatics tools, programming, and data analysis. Open to all levels.

Graduate Networking Event: A dedicated space for graduate students and early-career researchers to meet, exchange ideas, and build connections across disciplines and institutions in Luxembourg.

Pizza Club: Already running every month, our journal club is where PhD candidates present scientific papers in an informal setting, earn 0.5 ECTS credits, and enjoy good company. If you haven’t joined yet, now is the time.

Get involved

Membership is free and open to everyone: students, PhD candidates, postdocs, and anyone curious about computational biology. No prerequisites, no commitments, just curiosity.

Visit our website at rsg-luxembourg.iscbsc.org to learn more, sign up, or get in touch at iscb-rsg-lux@uni.lu. We’d love to hear from you.

Luxembourg’s bioinformatics community is growing. Let’s grow it together.
